OAK GROVE VILLAGE, MO - We love seeing fresh and expansion go hand in hand down the retail lane, and Schnuck Markets is the latest company bringing this happy union together. The retailer is expanding its fresh-focused Schnucks Fresh format by opening a new store in Oak Grove Village, Missouri.
“We look forward to continuing our mission to nourish people’s lives and to show area customers what we can offer them when building a store from the ground up,” said Schnucks Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Todd Schnuck. “Schnucks Fresh will be a store where customers will find an extensive selection of the same fresh products for which Schnucks is known throughout the Midwest.”
The 23,000-square-foot location will open its doors to eager customers on Wednesday, October 25, following a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony. With an emphasis on fresh departments, the store will place a heavy focus on its produce department alongside its meat, deli, bakery, and seafood sectors.
With this expansion in the works, the Frick’s Market in nearby Sullivan, Missouri—which Schnucks acquired in 2022—will permanently close on October 22, and teammates will relocate to the new store, a press release noted.
The new store also builds on Schnucks’ partnership with Instacart, allowing the company to offer delivery and curbside pickup.
