PRO*ACT recently announced that Hawaii's produce giant, Armstrong Produce, has joined the company’s national distribution network. Entering its 31st year of business, Armstrong is continuously looking for ways to improve its products and to overcome delivery obstacles. Armstrong VP Kelvin Shigemura, discusses the problems faced by a company whose nearest suppliers are an ocean away, stating that “The key challenges include transportation, pricing and product quality. Partnering with PRO*ACT companies will help us on all fronts.” VP of Business Development at PRO*ACT Lloyd Ligier adds that “We wanted to expand our reach into Hawaii and Armstrong is the produce player there.
