Publix Expands Online Deli Ordering System

Publix has expanded their Deli Online Easy Ordering to 50 stores in select markets across the company's operating area. The site allows customers to place orders online or via mobile phone for their Publix Deli custom subs, wraps, sliced meats and cheeses while specifying a pickup time. Customers will then receive a summary of their order via email and may pickup their orders in the designated “Online Easy Pickup” location in the deli section. Smartphone users can save order selections to their "Favorites" for future re-ordering convenience. Maria Brous, Publix director of media and community relations stated, “As we continue to provide our customers with the service they have grown to expect, we strive to offer new services that enhance their overall shopping experience.” She continues, “Publix Deli Online Easy Ordering is a natural extension of our service commitment, especially for our on-the-go customers." The service, which debuted in August of this year, was expanded to better understand customer response and overall performance. An effort that will surely pay off.
