<p><strong>Lakeland, FL</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Publix has announced it has signed an agreement to open its first ever store in North Carolina. Publix will lease a store in the Greater Charlotte, North Carolina area, which will become part of its newest division based in Charlotte. According to a press release, the company looks to continue its growth within the state of North Carolina along with its current operating areas in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Publix CEO, Ed Crenshaw, states, “Our customers and associates have long asked us to come to North Carolina. We look forward to providing the Charlotte community with the high quality service and products that our customers have come to expect and that have earned us recognition throughout the industry.
