MISSISSAUGA, CANADA - For the sixth consecutive year Rabba Fine Foods, the GTA’s 24/7 grocer, has won Canadian Grocer’s 2026 Impact Award in the Community Service category. The recognition highlights Rabba’s positive change in the grocery industry through community partnerships and local impact.
These efforts reflect the guiding principles of the Rabba Roots Community Giving Program, the company’s initiative that focuses on social responsibility and works to ensure greater access to food, health, and emergency services across the GTA.
“Community is always on our minds and in our hearts,” says Rick Rabba, President of Rabba, in the recent release. “We do our best to help out where we can and it’s amazing to see the extent to which our family of employees and customers support our efforts. It truly is a collective effort.”
In 2025, the company celebrated the tenth anniversary of its Super Bowl watch party at Good Shepherd Ministries while rescuing and redistributing tens of thousands of pounds of food through Second Harvest and local food banks. Additionally, Rabba announced a donation of $250,000 to the Trillium Health Partners Foundation (THPF).
Earlier this year, Rabba announced its support of the new Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital, by making 1.3 acres of land available for a period of five years in order to help in the construction of the new hospital. This significant annual commitment demonstrates Rabba's support for the hospital's redevelopment as well as a commitment to the long-term prosperity of the community.
