<p><strong>West Sacramento, CA</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Raley's Reach & Unilever are teaming up to offer $50,000 to local schools.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Raley’s Family of Fine Stores has partnered with Unilever to provide $50,000 in grants to local schools. Through the Raley’s Reach program, the family-owned retailer is once again placing the decision in the hands of the community to determine which schools will receive grants. Through participant nominations and votes, five $10,000 grants will be awarded regionally to K-12 schools to benefit their back-to-school needs.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">From August 8th – 20th, local PTAs, booster clubs, parents and community members are encouraged to nominate their local school atwww.raleys.com/reach to receive a $10,000 grant. Then, beginning August 22nd, it will be up to the online community to log on and cast their votes for the schools that they would like to see benefit from one of the grants. Whether it’s putting more computers in the classroom, upgrading playground equipment or purchasing art supplies for classrooms — the possibilities for how to put a Raley’s Reach grant into action are endless.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">With a long-standing reputation of giving back to the communities it serves, the Raley’s Reach program offers the unique opportunity for grants to go where participants recognize the greatest need. The program was first launched in May 2010 in honor of Raley’s 75th anniversary.
