Safeway has announced the addition of T. Gary Rogers to its board of directors. Mr. Rogers is the former CEO of Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream and former Chairman of the Board of Levi Strauss. He also has previous experience as a board member of Foster Farms, The Wine Group, and Marathon Meat. Currently, Mr. Rogers serves on the advisory board of Shorenstein Properties and Stanislaus Food Products. Safeway Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Steve Burd stated that "Gary's vast experience as a supplier to the grocery industry, his business acumen and experience as a director will be great assets to the board.”<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
