Tue. January 3rd, 2012

Save-A-Lot, a division of SUPERVALU, is opening a new Save-A-Lot store on the Menominee Indian Reservation in Keshena, Wisconsin, adding to the current fifteen other Save-A-Lot stores located within the state. The Save-A-Lot is owned and operated by the Menominee Tribal Council of Wisconsin. The Tribe hosted a grand opening ceremony featuring a Menominee Prayer, remarks by the Tribal Chairman Randal Chevalier and M.I.E.D.A Chairman Bruce Pecore, as well as a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a store tour. The Keshena store highlights Save-A-Lot’s strategy to identify unique growth opportunities and is also the first Save-A-Lot licensed by an Indian tribe. Ron Munson, business unit director, Save-A-Lot stores, states, “Save-A-Lot is committed to bringing fresh produce, dairy and USDA-inspected meat, as well as other essential grocery and household items to shoppers at an affordable price — typically up to 40 percent less than traditional grocers.” Mr. Munson, continues, “We look forward to working with the Menominee Tribal Council to serve customers at the new Keshena Save-A-Lot store.”

www.save-a-lot.com
