<p> SpartanNash has now promoted Michael Bove to Vice President of Perishables from his previous position as VP of National Accounts.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Bove has been instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of some of the industry’s most respected and innovative retail formats, including Nash Finch Company, Associated Grocers, Target, and H-E-B.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Prior to joining the Nash Finch Company, he was VP of Perishable Procurement with Associated Grocers from August 2005 to December 2011. He was responsible for all perishable business for the company, servicing 225 stores in Louisiana, Mississippi, and East Texas. Before that, he was a Senior Buyer for Target from May 1996 to July 2005, and Food Service Director for H-E-B Central Market from 1992 to 1996.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Bove’s entrepreneurial spirit developed early in life with his family’s restaurant business.
