SpartanNash Receives 2.75M Dollar Incentive to Establish HQ in Michigan

<p> SpartanNash, the company created by the merger between Spartan Stores and Nash Finch, is receiving a $2.75 million incentive to retain its presence in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The incentive was recently approved by the Michigan Economic Development Program to keep 620 existing jobs and create 72 new jobs, while providing flexibility for the company’s future growth needs, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> “We are pleased that this merger has enabled our company to create a stronger organization and provide a platform for growth,” said Dennis Eidson, president and CEO of SpartanNash. “We appreciate all of the support and assistance provided by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation during this process.
