<p> As Starbucks continues to offer its line of fresh cut fruit options and nutritious prepared dishes in the United States, its growing expansion in China may lead to an even greater fresh produce footprint in international markets.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> According to USA Today and NPR, China will soon replace Canada as Starbucks’ second-largest market, especially as the company plans to open its 1,000th store sometime before the end of 2013. In fact, the company has recently opened two flagship stores in Beijing that are designed to offer customers an “elevated Starbucks experience,” according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><img src="https://cdn.andnowuknow.com/legacyWriterImages/starbs103113body2.jpg" alt="images102912" /><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Starbucks is already starting to become a major player in the health food craze by offering a variety of nutritious, wholesome prepared dishes in a line of salads, sandwiches, and paninis that offer customers flavor and quality, along with health and wellness. How long will it be before we start seeing some of Starbucks’ salad bowls in these new Chinese stores? The company is already offering a Mango Passion Fruit Frappuccino as one of its blended juice options. It seems like it’s only a matter of time before the company’s fresh produce display in the U.S. becomes a staple across international stores.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><img src="https://cdn.andnowuknow.com/legacyWriterImages/starbs103113body.jpg" alt="images102912" /><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Interestingly, the two new stores, located in Kerry Center and Taikoo Li Sanlitun in Beijing, are said to reflect the energy of a 24-hour store. And considering that Beijing is one of the most modern and cosmopolitan lifestyle sites in China, fresh produce displays could make an interesting sight to see in these new, contemporary stores.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Will Starbucks China continue to join in on the health food craze?<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Stay tuned to AndNowUKnow for more comments and opinions.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p><a class="btn btn-sm btn-primary col-lg-12" style="white-space: normal;" href=" http://www.starbucks.com.cn/" target="_new"> Starbucks China </a></p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
