<p>Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Stater Bros. Markets, Jack H. Brown, has announced the promotion of David Harris to EVP of Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer. The appointment was effective November 25, 2013. Harris reports to Brown in his new role, according to a press release.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>"Dave's promotion is well deserved and attributable to his integrity, dedication, and excellent financial management skills," stated Brown. "Dave is a key contributor to the continued growth of the Company."</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Harris joined Stater Bros. in 2009 as Vice President Finance and was promoted to Senior Vice President Finance in June 2011. In 2012, Harris was promoted to Senior Vice President Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>The industry veteran brings more than 29 years of accounting, auditing and business advisory experience to his roles. Harris was a partner with Ernst &amp; Young in Riverside and Irvine and served as the Managing Partner of the Riverside Office of Ernst &amp; Young prior to its consolidation with the Irvine Office.
