MEXICO - For retailers looking to gain momentum in the dry veg space, some supply-side insights may help inform your latest strategies. As SunFed makes its transition between Mexico growing regions, the producer has shared some exclusive season updates that revealed opportunities in the vegetable sector.

As SunFed reports, spring temperatures remained mild, which kept volume in check and quality high in the grower’s Mexico regions.
Sinaloan eggplant and colored bell peppers are expected to be available for a few more weeks, as well as Sonoran squash and cucumbers through June. The supplier’s Baja and Central Mexican production is now getting underway as SunFed preps for its summer and fall programs.
With opportunities popping up across several categories, retailers can ensure maximized sales by setting their focus on robust and enticing displays.
