Supervalu Names Micky Nye President of Farm Fresh

<p>Supervalu has named a new President for the company's Farm Fresh division. Mickey Nye will oversee the banner's 43 stores. Nye served as VP of Operations for Shoppers Food &amp; Pharmacy, most recently, after Shoppers' President Bob Bly decided to leave the company to pursue new career opportunities.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Nye brings nearly 40 years in the grocery business to her new role according to the Virginian Pilot. Most of that time was spent with Supervalu and its banners. In addition, Nye worked for A&amp;P's Pathmark chain. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>The industry veteran replaces Bill Parker, a 14-year veteran of Farm Fresh who became acting president of Farm Fresh a year ago.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Farm Fresh has more than 4,200 employees.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Congratulations Micky, on your new role!</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p><a class="btn btn-sm btn-primary col-lg-12" style="white-space: normal;" href=" http://hamptonroads.com/2013/09/farm-fresh-gets-another-new-president "target="_new"> Supervalu</a></p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
