With expansion in mind, the company recently acquired J. Kings Food Service Professionals, a Holtsville, New York-based broadline distributor with approximately $150 million in annual sales.

J. Kings Food Service Professionals has a history dating back 45 years and was founded by John King. Skip ahead almost five decades and the company has grown to become one of the leading independent broadline distributors in the New York area, according to a press release. J. Kings Food Service also services customers in Connecticut and New Jersey with a majority of the company’s customers existing as independent restaurant operators—but the company also serves institutional, retail, and multi-unit customers.
The foodservice operator's executives will continue to manage the business, including King himself who is also the innovative company’s Chief Customer Officer.
