Target has announced the remodeling of 30 general merchandise stores in the U.S. The remodeled stores will be completed in October 2012 and will offer an expanded selection of affordable and quality fresh foods to guests.

Target stores currently under remodeling are part of the last of three cycles of remodels this year in Cincinnati, Ohio to Jacksonville, FL, and Nashville TN. Annette Miller, Senior VP of Grocery, Target, states, “By remodeling our stores and expanding the grocery selection, we’re able to bring an even more convenient shopping experience to Target’s guests. Just in time for the busy holiday season, these newly remodeled stores will offer a one-stop shop for all shopping needs, including fresh foods.”

After the remodeling is completed, Target’s shoppers will find a selection of national food brands and award-winning Target owned brands, including Archer Farms, Market Pantry, and Sutton & Dodge. Close to 1,100 Target stores currently offer an expanded food layout, with approximately 10,000 square feed dedicated to fresh food choices.
