Minneapolis, MN

This month, the Target Corporation will see the completion of remodels for over 100 of its general merchandise stores in an effort to expand its fresh food selection. Beginning March 25th, these stores will debut the new offerings to consumers nationwide. This wave of remodels is the first of three cycles that Target has planned for the coming year. New floor plans boast approximately 10,000 square feet, and offer consumers a selection of food choices including fresh produce, fresh packaged meat and pre-packaged baked goods, along with dry and frozen items. The company expects to remodel an additional 230 general merchandise stores in 2012 to include the same layout. Annette Miller, Senior Vice President of Grocery, Target, states, “Bringing fresh food to Target means our guests only have to make one stop to stock up on all of their essentials.” She continues, “This year, even more of our guests will experience the added convenience of one-stop shopping as we remodel hundreds of additional Target stores and bring our fresh food layout to markets across the country.”
