SALINAS, CA - Fresh produce shines once more as Taylor Farms reopens its foodservice facility on Abbott Street in Salinas, California. In April 2022, a devastating fire occurred at the salad and healthy food producer’s facility, where the business began in California nearly 30 years ago. Now, the company is able to bring healthy and fresh salad to store shelves once more from this location as it is scheduled to be in full operation at the end of this month.
“Thank you to every helping hand that made this rebuild process possible: thank you to our Taylor Farms team for their teamwork and flexibility during this time, the tremendous community and many city officials support we received, and the hardworking construction teams and engineers that worked tirelessly on this project,” stated Bruce Taylor, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. “We are thrilled to be back in this facility and once again serve our customers from our flagship location.”
According to the release, the location is particularly meaningful to the family-owned company, as the facility is the foundation that provided the momentum for the rest of the country. Taylor Farms now has 22 production locations across North America, with 24,000 team members producing and delivering healthy fresh foods on a daily basis.
As the company noted, Taylor Farms is excited to be back up and running for the start of the Salinas season in this new state-of-the-art facility.
