Tesco Introduces Farm to Fork Part of the Company's Eat Happy Project

<p>British multinational grocery retailer Tesco has started a healthy eating and food system education program to teach primary school students in the UK, according to the company program's website. The Eat Happy Project allows students to see behind the scenes at Tesco store locations and go on field trips to farms where their food is produced.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><iframe width="500" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/--_3HQZdUvA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">At farms, the children can see vegetable and mushroom production, as well as dairy and egg production to name a few. At Tesco stores, they can see how the bread is baked, the fish are filleted, and explore the produce isles to discover a few unfamiliar items.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Traveling the Farm to Fork Trail is meant to increase awareness of the food system, from 'farm to fork.'
