<p>Unified Grocers’ Board of Directors has recently announced a couple of executive changes to the company’s ranks. Unified has appointed Leon Bergmann to Executive Vice President, Sales and Procurement and Dan Murphy to Executive Vice President, Fresh Programs and Manufacturing, according to a company news release from Bob Ling, President and Chief Executive Officer. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Bergmann has served as SVP, Sales since joining Unified in December 2012. In addition to his responsibilities for Sales and Service functions across all of the company’s regions of operations, Bergmann also assumed responsibilities for overseeing the Customer Satisfaction team and Grocery, Frozen, and Deli procurement functions earlier last year. Bergmann served as President, Independent Business for SuperValu prior to joining Unified. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Murphy joined Unified in October 2000. He was appointed SVP Fresh Programs and Manufacturing in 2012. Murphy will continue to be responsible for overseeing Unified’s Meat, Produce, Service Deli and Manufacturing divisions in his new role.
