Chef Jerrmy primarily uses black bean cake as a slider ingredient, but the versatile product can be used in recipes such as a kid’s burger, side item, add on for a salad or a brunch dish. He describes his cooking style as seasonally driven and creatively improvisational and is known for using locally sourced ingredients to create dishes that are a “fresh fusion” of flavors.

Open to more than 250,000 foodservice professionals across the country, the contest aimed to find the best new product for chefs by inviting US Foods customers to submit their favorite bakery, hot appetizer, sauce or dips and spreads recipe.
