US Foods Reveals $20 Million in Donations to Food Banks in 2021; David Works Comments

ROSEMONT, IL - To make the holiday season that much more special for those in the communities it serves, US Foods Holding announced it will donate $30,000, the equivalent of 300,000 meals, to Feeding America. This donation comes as part of the company’s month-long holiday Giving Gratitude campaign focused on supporting those across the country struggling with food insecurity.

We look forward to continuing our hunger relief efforts in the year ahead.”

With this recent gift, US Foods brings its total donations for 2021 to over $20 million in product to food banks, equivalent to upward of 12 million pounds of food and supplies.

US Foods’ Giving Gratitude holiday campaign supports the distributor’s commitment to fighting hunger through product donations, monetary contributions, and volunteer activities, the company explained in a release.

As part of the campaign, US Foods associates across the country are encouraged to share a photo or video expressing that they are grateful for using the hashtag #GivingGratitude. They are also invited to make personal contributions to Feeding America through the company’s Team Feed donation website. For every gratitude post and donation made through the site, the distributor has donated an additional $1 to the organization, up to $20,000.
