Joe Sheridan of Wakefern Food Corporation has been appointed to the GS1 US Board of Governors. GS1 US is a non-profit organization tasked with developing supply chain standards, solutions and services. Sheridan is Executive Vice President for Wakefern, the United States’ largest retailer-owned cooperative, whose 47 members operate more than 230 supermarkets under the ShopRite banner. He oversees corporate merchandising, advertising, marketing, finance, technology, quality assurance, communications, warehousing, transportation, and all of Wakefern’s product divisions. Sheridan serves on the Board of Governors and the Executive Committee for the National Grocers Association, as well as on the Board of Directors, Wholesale Advisory Board, and Executive Committee for the Food Marketing Institute.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
