<p>Walmart, the merchandising giant, is expanding into a new California community. Delano, California, one of the major growing regions in the state, opened a new Walmart Supercenter, located at 530 Woollomes Ave on August 14th, 2013. Local fresh produce will be available along with other local products with a grocery department stocked with a full line of groceries, including organic and natural selections in addition to other favorites, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">With the new location, Walmart also brought with it 300 new jobs. Chris Fulmer, Store Manager, said, "We are excited to add a new Walmart to Delano and bring good jobs with great career opportunities to the area." Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the store is convenient for grocery shopping, general merchandise, and a has pharmacy.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Free food samples were given out at a Big Family Welcome event on Aug. 17th at the new location.
