Walmart's Comment to ANUK

<p><strong>Bentonville, AR</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">As the date approaches for Walmart Stores to close one of its pilot format Express locations, AndNowUKnow reached out to the team at Walmart for a comment on the recent event.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Walmart's Steven V. Restivo Sr. Director of Community Affairs, responded, "When the opportunity arose to open a smaller store here while our Supercenter was under construction, we jumped at the chance because we didn’t think Chatham residents should have to wait any longer for more affordable grocery options."<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Mr. Restivo, continues, "Now that our supercenter is open, we’ll not only remain a fixture in the community but also all associates at the Express store will be offered new jobs within the company, with most just moving across the parking lot.
