Weis Markets has named Gretchen Suydan as the company's Director of Marketing. Weis has also announced the promotions of Brian Bosworth to Sales Director and Maria Panko to Private Brands Manager.
Ms. Suydan was Director of Marketing and Advertising for Farm Fresh, a Supervalu division based in Virginia Beach before joining Weis. In her new role, she is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of go-to-market strategies designed to grow sales, increase new customer acquisition, and drive customer retention, according to a press release. Ms. Suydan reports to Brian Holt, Vice President, Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations.
Both Ms. Panko and Mr. Bosworth report to Kevin Broe, Vice President, Center Store Sales and Merchandising.
In Ms. Panko's new role as Manager, Private Brands, she will oversee the product development and sales and marketing for the company’s more than 6,300 private brand products, which includes center store, HBC and fresh private brand products.
In his new role as Sales Manager, Mr. Bosworth will take on an expanded role to help develop and implement center store sales by building programs and initiatives.
