DENVER, CO - As Amazon continues to expand its reach and presence in the brick-and-mortar space through Whole Foods Market, the banner itself has implemented a new strategy of its own. Recently, new developments have begun at a Whole Foods location under construction in Denver, Colorado, where signs have popped up displaying Ideal Market as the incoming tenant.

According to the Denver Business Journal, Whole Foods acquired the Ideal Market name as part of a deal with Wild Oats in 2007. Now, the organic grocer is continuing with the construction and preparation of opening a new store site with Ideal Market’s name.

The site used to be a former Whole Foods Market but was shuttered in 2017 as the grocer prepared to open up a new location in the Union Station neighborhood. With the opening of this location, it will mark the second Ideal Market in Colorado with one currently in operation in Boulder.

With Whole Foods expanding its reach, will we see more of this brand surface? AndNowUKnow will continue following the retail updates.
