Whole Foods Market is continuing to ramp up its expansion with a new store in Port Chester, New York.

The new Whole Foods Market will open on October 22 at 575 Boston Post Road. This will mark the company’s 3rd location in Westchester County and its 13th in New York. To commemorate the grand opening, Whole Foods plans to begin the celebration with a bread breaking ceremony. The company will feature samples, giveaways, and special offers during the event as well.

Just recently, Whole Foods also opened its eighth U.K. store on October 8 in historic Richmond town center in southwest London. Store Team Leader Larry Hadley commented, “We are extremely excited to be opening here in Richmond upon Thames. We have created 120 new jobs for local people, and we’ve had brilliant support locally. We trust that will continue in the years to come.”

In June, Whole Foods Market opened a new discount-format in Detroit, with plans to open more stores in economically struggling cities as part of its goal to reposition as a go-to grocery store for everyday staples for shoppers on any budget who are less inclined to pay the big bucks.

Stay tuned as we follow Whole Foods' rapid expansion.
