Whole Foods to Open in Brooklyn, New York

<p> The much anticipated Whole Foods Market in Brooklyn, N.Y. now has an opening date. On Tuesday, December 17, the first Brooklyn Whole Foods store on 214 3rd Street will officially open for business.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> At more than 56,000 square feet, the Third &amp; 3rd store will offer a full range of high-quality natural and organic foods and will feature a 20,000 square foot rooftop greenhouse built in partnership with New York’s Gotham Greens, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Many of Brooklyn’s noted artisanal producers will be featuring a host of local products at this new store, with one-of-a-kind exclusive items in every department. Some of the other specialties from the new store will include <I>The Roof</i>, a second-floor indoor/outdoor tap room and restaurant and an in-store, take-out venue from noted ramen chef Yuji Hariguchi.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Whole Foods has recently been ramping up its expansions in the east with new stores in Port Chester, N.Y. and in Washington D.C.
