Winn Dixie fourth quarter ended on June 29th, and the retailer expects same-store sales gains of 3.2%. Net income is expected to be about $5 million for the quarter, as opposed to $16 million in during the same period last year. Sales for the Southern retailer in the most recent quarter were $1.6 billion, a small decline from last year's total of 1.7 billion. Total Sales for fiscal year 2011 are expected to total $6.9 billion, vs. $7 billion in the preceding year.
