Food Lion, Harveys Supermarket and Reid's have been honored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency with the ENERGY STAR Award. This marks the eleventh consecutive time that the three have been recognized for the achievement. Recipients were chosen this year, from a group of approximately 20,000 ENERGY STAR program participants. The 2012 honorees set the bar high with thoughtful goals and innovative approaches that have helped them reduce greenhouse gas emissions while providing a positive example of what greener business practices can do for the industry.
