In order to better inform consumers of their food sources, First Fruits Marketing is launching their new Know Your Grower Campaign. The promotional campaign will allow both consumers and the industry insight into the process and people involved in Fresh Fruits Marketing and the orchards they support. Broetje Orchards formed First Fruits Marketing including Congdon and Columbia Valley Orchards, with the commitment to caring for those who work in their business and for those in need around the world.

The Know Your Grower Campaign will provide full retail support through engaging POS materials, “story” bags and merchandise bins which incorporate the narrative of the growth process through the actual workers and employees who grow, care for, and harvest the crops. Materials will feature QR codes that link to videos and additional information about the campaign, orchards and supported causes.

The campaign opens the discussion on issues ranging from the quality of the fruit and the pursuit for the best flavors and varieties, to the programs in place to assist workers with housing, education and daycare. 10% of profits from First Fruits Marketing are donated to charitable causes while Broetje Orchards is donating 50% to 75% of profits yearly, to individuals in need worldwide. Andy Tudor, marketing director for First Fruits Marketing stated, “We are really excited about this campaign. Not only does it fulfill a desire for consumers to know more about where their food is coming from, it also gives us a chance to put the spotlight on our best asset – our workers. We provide them with tools that improve their quality of life, and in return they genuinely care about the fruit that ultimately goes to the consumer.”

www.firstfruits.com
