Charlotte, N.C. – Harris Teeter is gearing up for the completion of its remodel of the Shops at Shadowline location. The completion is expected to be achieved by Feb. 15, 2012. According to a recent press release, "The company wants to thank its shoppers for their patience during the remodel and invites them to visit the store to see all it now has to offer." Harris Teeter strives to stay ahead of the game by remodeling its stores before shoppers realize or notice the need for the requirement.

The store was opened in 1995 by the company, and the remodel and expansion commenced in June 2011. During the nine-month time frame, Harris Teeter added 9,600 square feet to the location and invested in a new salad bar while expanding both the floral department and Farmers Market. The company also introduced a cheese kiosk, olive bar, La Brea bread kiosk and a beer and wine section hosting a beer and keg cooler. Along with the new additions, Harris Teeter also added an array of sustainable features, greening the way with LED lights in the wine section, frozen food, beer, and dairy door cases. There are also waterless urinals and low flow faucets. These add to the stores already sustainable features including an energy efficient roof, motion detection lighting, a heat reclamation system and an energy management system.

www.harristeeter.com
