It's not the same old song and dance with sales activities, where you used to go out and hire a sales person who would bring a book of business with them and that's why someone was valuable to you, because people would move their business from one company to another based on the sales person. I don't think sales is like that any more. That's not the kind of paradigm I'm interested in. I want to hire people who are eager, enthusiastic, willing to do the hard work and who want to serve customers. Just because they didn't sell produce before, doesn't mean that they can't provide some value and be part of my team. Instead of a book of business, what I want is somebody who brings character, business ethics, really good business acumen and the willingness to do the hard work."

Chase was formerly Vice President of National Sales with Pero Family Farms in Delray Beach, Florida. Previously, he worked as National Sales Manager for Retail with Green Line Foods where he played a key role in bringing that brand to market and growing its sales. He also worked at Freshway Foods in product development and sales, according to a press release.

“Dale’s leadership and vision are a great compliment to Ayco,” says Ayco President Avi Nir. “He has an impeccable track record in putting together successful retail-oriented and value-added projects. We are enthusiastic about him taking control of our sales and marketing and know it will benefit Ayco and our customers.”

"That's kind of the thrust or focus of what Ayco wants to look at as part of its continuing growth in the future. We want to continue doing a great job supplying all the melons and different commodities that we grow and import and sell to our customer base, but also expand beyond just the commodities and look at developing packaged goods and value-added offerings that we can take to the market place as well," VP Dale Chase tells AndNowUKnow.

Congratulations to Dale Chase, James Earp, and Mason Hamilton on their new positions with Ayco Farms.

Ayco Farms
