<p><strong>Fresno, CA</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">California’s table grape growers are doing their part to support and strengthen the educational system. The California Table Grape Commission has awarded thirty-six teaching grants worth up to $750 each, according to a recent press release. A total of 153 teachers in the table grape growing regions of California’s San Joaquin and Coachella valleys, applied for the grants. They presented innovative teaching projects and thirty-six of the ideas were chosen as finalists.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The projects ranged from school gardens, to college visitations for potential first generation college students and are projected to reach completion this Spring. “California’s table grape growers support education in the communities where they live and work,” said Kathleen Nave, President of the Commission. “The Innovation in Teaching program provides teachers with additional resources to implement creative ideas in the classroom.”</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>www.tablegrape.com</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
