Climate Corporation Addresses Industry's Weather Concerns

<p><strong>San Francisco, CA</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">The Climate Corporation is aiming to ease farmers’ minds about crop damage due to adverse weather. The technology company, whose mission is to help growers cope with weather fluctuations and protect the global agricultural industry, announced it closed a $50 million round of funding led by new and existing investors to continue to expand its operations, according to a press release. Thousands of farmers have participated in The Climate Corporation’s Total Weather Insurance program to buffer against the financial impact of destructive weather.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><img src="/misc/climate-corp-image.jpg" alt="Climate Corporation" /><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">By carefully analyzing agricultural and environmental data and constantly improving its processing and data acquisition systems, the company is able to measure weather at a local level and then pay farmers when bad weather occurs, protecting farmers’ profits.
