CMI Hosts the Top Ten Washington Apple Blossom Royalty Candidates

The group toured the facility as part of their apple industry education. Candidates learned about Washington’s record-breaking apple crop this year and got a glimpse into the intricacies of the growing and packing side of the apple business, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Mike Wade, Owner of Columbia Fruit Packers, shared how the apple industry has changed over the years. The crowning of two princesses and one queen will occur on February 9, 2013 to represent the Washington State apple industry for one year. The Washington State Apple Blossom Festival, in Wenatchee, WA, is an 11-day festival that takes place during the last weekend in April and first weekend in May.
