Wenatchee, WA

The recent temperamental weather conditions in Washington have not put a damper on CMI's abundant cherry crop. Earlier this season there were large cherry supplies for growers affected in the Northwestern U.S. region by mother nature, but the recent threats have had minimal to no affect on CMI's recent pickings.

At present, the Sweetheart variety being harvested is the biggest and sweetest that CMI has seen this season so far. The large sized cherries will allow retailers an outstanding week and half to two week run on cherries. This is a perfect time for spur of the moment ads, as well as three day campaigns and weekend type promotions.

Sweetheart cherries offer consumers a crunchy, firm and sweet cherry experience with thick green stems to create a great retail presentation on the store shelves. Between the great flavor, size and volume, retailers can increase repeat purchases and the ring and the register this season.

 CMI
