The CPMA, over the past year has undertaken the task of recreation, designed to maximize value for its members while furthering its support of fresh fruits and vegetables in Canada, according to a press release. A consultation process with members and key stakeholders accompanied the exercise and resulted in positive and constructive feedback that the association has used to redefine its approach.

While transforming the new brand, a new visual identity was developed to support and reflect the fresh new focus and the strength of the produce industry and CPMA. With the committee's direction, a selection of choices were refined and developed. Three semi-final designs were then reduced to two after focus group testing. In the final stages of the process, the CPMA Board of Directors voted on the Association’s new visual identity.

Ron Lemaire, CPMA President, states, “This Association is a strong voice in the produce industry. We’re pleased to offer a new look that reflects our endurance and builds on it to establish a fresh and distinctive identity. We are grateful to the many industry stakeholders who participated in the process though committee and focus group work.” Jim DiMenna, 2012 and 2013 CPMA Board Chair and Branding Committee Chair, revealed the new logo and visual brand identity in a video presentation, at the closing Gala of CPMA’s 87thAnnual Convention and Trade Show in Calgary, Alberta.

www.cpma.ca
