<p>Crossmark announced today that is has finalized a deal to acquire Market Werks, the largest independent consumer-engagement company in the country. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Founded in 1907 and based in Chicago, the company primarily creates personalized marketing campaigns for diverse groups of companies, including Verizon, Walgreens and Chase. Market Werks will become a part of Crossmark Marketing Service. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>“This acquisition strengthens our position as the leader in field marketing,” says Crossmark CEO Joe Crafton. “As consumers’ behavior continues to evolve, brands are seeking better ways to influence them on their path to purchase.” </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>The acquisition will add expertise to Crossmark’s leading marketing services division, and will add to Crossmark’s total annual sales reaching nearly $1 billion.
