<p>From avocados and chips to beer and limes, cross-merchandizing has proven to be an effective strategy in driving impulse buys and moving more produce. Retailers are increasingly using creative pairings to increase overall sales.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Last week, I was struck by an example while shopping in Save Mart. These seemingly disparate products from different departments have one unifying connection, however: breakfast.
