<p>DNE World Fruit LLC has begun its 2013 Australian Summer Citrus program after the arrival of the first vessel into the Port of Long Beach. Starting with Daisies and Navels, the season will run from late June through October with the peak promotional period running from early July through early August.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">A heavy volume of Australian Navels won’t arrive until later in July due to intermittent rain. “The quality has been excellent in the packing sheds in Australia. We’re seeing high color and great flavor right from the start from each of the growing regions,” says Stu Monaghan, Australian Citrus Program Manager.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">The company encourages retailers to promote the Australian navels at the end of July through the first week of October.
