Dole Plans $20 Million Investment in Chile

<p>Dole has announced that it plans to invest $20 million into the construction of three fruit processing plants in Chile this year. One of the plants will be located in Coquimbo and will cost roughly $3 million.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Marcelo Saavedra, Area Manager of the firm said that the structure will cover an area of 9,000 square meters and be located on the road connecting Coquimbo to the city of Ovalle in the area of Nueva Vida, according to a report in <I>el Dia<I/>.</i/></i></p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>"This change is to update our facilities and be in a better position on the place where we were, because the industrial neighborhood was very complicated," he says.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">The infrastructure is expected to be operational on November 30 "to meet the needs of the 2013-2014 season."
