<p><strong>Goodlettsville, TN</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Dollar General Corporation has a new project on the horizon. The retailer has announced plans to build a distribution center. The facility will be located in Bethel Township, in Berks County, Pennsylvania on 109 acres at Interstate 78 and State Route 501 and will be the 12th facility in Dollar General's distribution network, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The company plans to build a 900,000+ square-foot facility pending completion of due diligence, receipt of all required governmental permits and development approvals as well as the purchase of the land upon which the facility will be built. Construction is slated for Fall of 2012 with hiring to kick off in the Fall of 2013.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Rick Dreiling, Chairman and CEO of Dollar General, stated, "This distribution center is an investment in the growth of our company, as well as the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Bethel Township." Mr. Dreiling, continues, "Dollar General opened its first store in the Keystone state in 1974, and we are proud to have contributed to its economic growth by creating jobs for nearly four decades."<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The cost to build the facility is expected to be approximately $100 million.
