<p><strong>Salisbury,N.C.</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Food Lion is accepting a LEED® Silver certification at its Williamsburg, Virginia store. The grocer invited its customers to a special certification ceremony at the store located on 7537 Richmond Road on May 24th at the the Williamsburg, Virginia store.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The location offers a number of environmentally friendly features and energy-efficient services that include an on-site recycling center, an educational kiosk and preferred parking for carpool vehicles, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Kyle Mitchell, Vice President of Store Development for Delhaize America South, states, “At Food Lion, we are committed to protecting the environment and reducing energy consumption through green building construction, and we are especially proud to have received this recognition at our Williamsburg, Va., store."
