<p><strong>Salisbury, NC </strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Food Lion has launched the third installment of its new brand strategy. As of July 18, Food Lion will have more than 700 locations operating under its new operating strategy that emphasizes shopping convenience and savings. To commemorate the launch, Food Lion is holding a grand re-opening celebration at 269 Food Lion stores, awarding the first 50 customers from each location a free bag of groceries from Wednesday through Saturday.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">To support their new strategy, Food Lion hired 800 new associates and lowered the prices on over 6,000 products. Responding to the customer feedback, Food lion changed its cardboard displays so they act as an incentive rather than an obstacle for the shoppers.
