REDONDO BEACH, CA - The Gourmet Trading Company announced on Friday that current Executive Director of Gourmet International Holdings Peter Lineen will move in as Interim President for the time being.
Executives at Gourmet Trading are confident in the decision, according to a company press release. As we previously reported, former President and CEO Brian Miller recently left the company with no replacement instated.
"Transitions such as this can be challenging, so it’s imperative to have the right people during these times,” Paul Martin, Owner of Gourmet Trading Company, said in the release. “I've worked with Peter for three decades and am confident he will be able to guide Gourmet Trading Company through this transition period."
Lineen brings integral experience to the position, according to the company, having been instrumental in setting up joint ventures growing operations in Mexico and Chile to compliment Gourmet Trading’s farms in Washington, California and Peru while only having been officially served on the Board of Directors for two-and-a-half years with special responsibilities. Lineen has also been the Certified Public Accountant of his own firm for more than 30 years, knowledgeable in both board and company director positions.
