As California blueberry season winds down and the Oregon blueberry season gets underway, Gourmet Trading Company is presenting the perfect way to welcome the season. The company is once again presenting its Monthly Recipe Contest. An abundant Oregon blueberry crop is expected through the end of September and the recipe campaign taps into the Northwest's ample supply. Berry lovers can submit a recipe using blueberries or other Gourmet Trading items that include fresh green, white or purple asparagus and blackberries.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The recipe must be sent by e-mail to [email protected] by the 20th of the month. Since this is a monthly contest, if the recipe is submitted after the 20th of the month it will be considered in the next month’s recipe contest, according to contest rules. A photo of the dish can also be attached to the submission and will give participants extra points in judging. Gourmet Trading judges choose one winner a month based on creativity and uniqueness of the recipe.
