In the wake of a wildly successful season, Houston Texans’ defensive lineman J.J. Watt recently signed on a spokesman for H-E-B Grocery Co, according to the Houston Business Journal.
Leading the league with 20.5 sacks in the regular season, the juggernaut’s endorsement includes a constant supply of groceries. Watt and his representatives added a clause to the deal stipulating that H-E-B will keep his fridge stuffed to the brim.
Watt has already appeared in H-E-B tailgating ads with teammates; however, the partnership is exclusively between Watt and H-E-B. The deal will feature Watt promoting a few of his “favorite” H-E-B products, according to the company.
The partnership will also include the player’s Justin J. Watt foundation, which supports after-school athletic programs in Wisconsin and Texas, with a focus on financially strained middle schools. H-E-B will help the program expand its reach to aid even more schools.
