<p><strong>Eagle, ID</strong><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> This year’s Idaho Potato Commission Potato Lover's Month Retail Display Contest raked in the numbers with more than 2,300 entries in its 21st year. The contest awarded over $150,000 in cash and prizes and boasted a first place winner that created its “Fuel Up with the World Famous Idaho® Potatoes” display for the contest. The display featured a giant potato truck getting fueled up by Mrs. Dash and Molly McButter “gas pumps,” taking the prize among stores with 1-5 cash registers, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> More first place winners offered creative displays including Sweetbay Supermarket in Spring Hill, Florida for the 6-9 cash registers category and Publix at Sabal Palm Plaza in Fort Pierce, Florida for the 10+ registers category. Both highlighted the healthy role of Idaho® potatoes for their winning retail displays.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Seth Pemsler, Vice President, Retail/International, IPC, stated, “It’s a win-win situation for retailers when they enter the contest.” Mr. Pemsler, continues, “During what is traditionally a slow month, they can give Idaho® potato sales a big boost with a creative, attention-getting retail display.
